Ingredients
For Gulab Jamun
- 1 cup Kalash Gulab Jamun Mix
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp ghee
- Water as required
- Oil or ghee for frying
For Sugar Syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 2½ cups water
- 3–4 cardamom pods
- Few saffron strands
- 1 tsp rose water
Instructions
Step 1 – Prepare Dough
Take Kalash Gulab Jamun Mix in a bowl.
Add milk and ghee. Slowly add water and make a soft dough.
Do not over-knead.
Step 2 – Make Balls
Grease hands lightly and make smooth crack-free balls.
Step 3 – Prepare Sugar Syrup
Boil sugar and water for 8–10 minutes.
Add cardamom, saffron and rose water.
Step 4 – Fry Gulab Jamun
Heat oil or ghee on low-medium flame.
Fry balls slowly until golden brown.
Step 5 – Soak in Syrup
Put hot gulab jamuns directly into warm syrup.
Rest for 2 hours before serving.
Serving Suggestion
Serve warm with pistachios or vanilla ice cream.
